Richmond, TX – February 11, 2005 – Planned Community Developers, developers of the 9,700 acre First Colony master planned community in Sugar Land, Texas, is proud to announce the grand opening of its latest community, River's Edge, in Richmond. Grand opening festivities are scheduled for February 26 and 27.

The local community is invited to come out and visit Fort Bend 's newest master-planned community and experience the wealth of riches that lie at River's Edge. During the River's Edge grand opening weekend, visitors will take part in the " River's Edge Great House Hunt 2005", whereby visitors will receive a clue to discover a River' Edge treasure, hidden somewhere in Fort Bend County . Slated as a weekly event, clues for the "Great House Hunt 2005" are available beginning February 26.

Every person who visits the eight new model homes in River's Edge on February 26 and 27 will receive a clue to discover $500 in treasures, hidden somewhere in Fort Bend County. A new clue will be provided each week until the treasure is found. The treasure is not hidden in remote places, but rather in Fort Bend locations that are accessible to everyone. All hidden treasures will be out in the open and not located on private property or buried. Home tour guests will also be eligible to win tickets to the Gold exhibit at the Houston Museum of Natural Science.

Situated along the Brazos River , River's Edge will be comprised of 930 single-family, Energy Star homes and 17 acres of commercial property. The first phase of River's Edge is nearing completion and features approximately four subdivisions: River Bluff, River Bend, River Falls and Lake Bridge Estates. River's Edge will showcase homes from four of Houston 's premier builders: David Weekly Homes, Perry Homes , Newmark Homes and Plantation Homes.

In addition to quality homes, River's Edge amenities include recreational centers with adult and kiddy pools, a sports center that includes a baseball field, a volleyball field, playground and party barn. Houston-based Kerry R. Gilbert & Associates, Inc. developed the master plan for the development, and Costello, Inc. of Houston is project engineer. SLA Studio Land, Inc. is providing landscape architecture consulting services for River's Edge and is designing the main entry, neighborhood entries, recreation center, party barn and sports fields.

Planned Community Developers, Ltd. (“PCD”), which also serves as the management entity for the assets of Sugarland Properties, has guided development of the 9,700-acre First Colony master-planned community in Sugar Land , Texas , southwest of Houston for many years.
